Summary
It was December 20, 2014 and there was an important week 16 clash between in-state rivals San Francisco and San Diego on Saturday Night Football. The score was tied 24 apiece and the game was headed to overtime in San Francisco. Miles Underwood attended the festivity and was delighted that his favorite team, the Chargers, had a shot at winning the game. He went by himself and the San Francisco 49 fans were giving him a hard time booing and screaming in his face. One man, out of the corner of Miles' eye landed a punch to his face and Miles started to bleed. Miles wiped the blood from his mouth and countered, striking a fierce blow to the man's face. He then scurried away before the security arrived, but the guards escorted the man out of the stadium. The last image Miles saw remembered that night was San Diego scoring a touchdown to win 30-24.
Miles got a knock on his door 4 days later and opened it only to be greeted by the police. He is banned from Levi's Stadium for 5 years and is told he is twins with the other man because their DNA samples matched through the investigation of the other man involved in the fight. They got Miles' DNA from the blood he wiped from his mouth onto the hand he landed the punch on the other man's face with. The other man introduces himself as Dorian. The two men shake hands surprisingly.
Analysis
Miles is a hard core football enthusiast and has been wanting to go to a Charger game his whole life. They finally play San Francisco for the first time in the city by the bay since 2006, when he was still in college with very little money. Miles knows how to stands up for himself to a degree but still needs to know how to deal with situations better as he could have ignored or asked someone to switch seats. The game was nearly over and he wouldn't have gotten involved in this situation if he remained calm.
He assumed hat the police officer said was right. This was wrong on Miles' part but at least he had the courage to shake Dorian's hand. This sets the tone for the rest of the story.
